About the project
The project was created for Opera Nova and involved the creation of an animated historical film using advanced AI tools. Our task was to reconstruct historical scenes in AI, based on source material - historians' descriptions, archaeological findings and archival photographs. In the production process, we generated realistic shots depicting the former port structures, the Carmelite monastery and the urban development of the city, combining AI video production with 2D and 3D animation techniques. The film forms part of an educational exhibition and acts as a visual narrative guiding the viewer through the eras, using AI historical animation to build an immersive experience. The realisation demonstrates how AI in film production makes it possible to recreate places and events that no longer exist with a high attention to detail and consistency with historical knowledge.
