About the project
The project for KS Torun is a film about the history of the club and the emotions behind it. The starting point was the idea that speedway is an extreme sport The moments when riders return to the track just a few weeks after injuries build a real dimension of heroism The narrative focuses on determination, the fight for the result and the journey of the team, which wants to return to the top competition class and settle there for longer. We shot during a 13-hour day at the speedway stadium, working in dynamic, sporting conditions. There is also a historical theme in the film - a reference to the old track and its distinctive lettering, which symbolically links the club's past and present. It was directed by Michał Grzelak and Kacper Zięba was responsible for the cinematography. The result is material that combines history with emotion and shows speedway as a sport where passion and risk go hand in hand with the ambition to return to the top.
