About the project
The photo shoot promoting the new season of the series Thaw for HBO Max was created in collaboration with VML. The centrepiece of the campaign was a key visual featuring Katarzyna Wajda, shot on an underwater set. The photos were created in layers with final compositing and precise retouching in mind, which helped build the distinctive, disturbing atmosphere of the campaign. In parallel, we shot a series of six digital formats with the series' characters, including Nicodem Rozbicki, Bartłomiej Kotschedoff, Piotr Trojan and Marta Malikowska. Studio shots were taken by Adam Plucinski It was crucial to maintain visual consistency between all formats from the main KV to the digital communication. The entire project was shot in a single shooting day, requiring precise coordination of set work, post-production and multiple photographic setups.
